We have some exciting news from FMI to share with you. First, our very own Kayla Tweedy has returned to FMI from an almost two year absence, beginning her work back here on March 20. She and her husband Philip are in the process of moving back to the Ardmore area so that Kayla can further her career with FMI and Philip can pursue his coaching career in this area. Kayla will resume her role initially as our Client Relations Manager and will eventually take on the role of an adviser with FMI. We are very pleased to have Kayla back and look forward to introducing or reintroducing her to you soon.
Secondly, we are planning a new lunch and learn event for May 4 that focuses on cyber security. This topic greatly affects all of us in some way or another. Businesses and individuals are all subject to some type of cyber threat each day. Most of the time it is not an issue for us, but if you have ever been hacked on your email or social media you know how unsettling and disruptive it can be. For small businesses it can be very costly requiring a significant investment of time and resources to avoid loss of information and prevent theft.
We are fortunate to have some individuals lined up as our presenters on May 4 who will provide some much needed information and help for all of us. Terry Kalister, who spent over 20 years as one of the lead IT directors for Noble Energy will be sharing his knowledge that day along with Corey Fisher, who has a tremendous background in IT and is co-owner of the NDS Project.
The Cyber Security event on May 4 will be by invitation only so if you have an interest please contact us, seating will be limited.
We are continuing our efforts each day to stay ahead of market movements to grow and protect your investments. Making certain our clients are informed is very important to us so we strive to provide a consistent flow of information. Please feel free to contact us anytime or better yet come by and see us!
